The passenger of an allegedly stolen car spotted speeding in Wyndham has been arrested.
Police noticed a white 2015 BMW X1 in Truganina around 11.30pm Wednesday.
It is believed to have been involved in several offences since the car was stolen from Point Cook on May 31.
The police chopper was used to detect the vehicle doing up to 200km/h in areas including Hoppers Crossing, Point Cook and Truganina.
Stop sticks were used, but police say the car kept speeding.
A 19-year-old man from Truganina, believed to be the passenger got out of the car and was arrested a short time later.
He has been charged with car theft and bailed to face court in December.
Police say the BMW was last seen driving on the Princes Highway in Point Cook towards Palmers Road.
