Public school teachers, principals and education support staff are set to strike for a third time this year, as they continue their push for better pay and conditions.

Geelong parents are being warned the 24-hour action will happen on August 19 if there is no revised offer.

The Australian Education Union says the concerns of members have not been adequately addressed by the state government after more than a year of negotiations.

Branch President Justin Mullaly said Victorian public schools were the lowest funded in the country.

“AEU members will continue our campaign for full funding of our schools until the Carroll Labor Government signs a deal with the federal government to fully fund Victorian public schools,” he said.

“And we will continue our campaign for a pay and conditions offer that values and respects the work of AEU members.”
