A teenager has been seriously injured during a daylight robbery in Wyndham.
The 16-year-old has told police he was walking through a group of shops on Saltwater Promenade, Point Cook, at about 3.30pm on Tuesday when he was confronted by a group of up to eight young people.
The boy told police he was ordered to hand over his phone before being assaulted.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The group was last seen running away along Saltwater Promenade.
