Police have arrested three offenders after an armed robbery in Hoppers Crossing.
It’s believed a group armed with hammers stole clothes from a shop on Heaths Road around 4.30 yesterday afternoon.
“They fled the store and got into a Nissan Patrol, which police spotted with alleged stolen plates in the shopping centre carpark,” police said in a statement.
“The Nissan sped off on Barber Drive before it was cordoned by officers.
“One of the occupants was arrested nearby on Millbank Drive and taken into custody.
“Two other occupants of the Nissan fled on foot and were later arrested by police in Wyndham Vale.”
An 18-year-old Tarneit man was charged with armed robbery, affray, theft and possess dangerous article – he will face court today.
A 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy, also from the Tarneit area, were charged with the same offences including armed robbery, affray, theft and possess dangerous article – they have been bailed to appear at a later date.
