V/Line says vandals are responsible for coaches replacing trains between Lara and Wyndham Vale.
An announcement this morning that the line would change to coaches between the two stops in response to vandalism.
“Significant delays to passengers’ journeys are expected, as trains are also not operating between Wyndham Vale and Southern Cross until Friday, 23 January due to ongoing planned works,” a statement said.

“Coaches will be operating to connect with trains on the Werribee Line and stopping all stations between Lara, Wyndham Vale, Tarneit, Deer Park and Sunshine stations.
“Warrnambool Line trains will continue to operate between Warrnambool and Waurn Ponds.”
V/Line said passengers should allow extra time.
