A machete has been found inside a stolen vehicle following a police chase in Wyndham Vale.
Police say officers spotted the allegedly stolen MG on Bassett Avenue just after 8pm Monday, with the vehicle stopping on Brightvale Boulevard before the five occupants ran off.
Three men were arrested after a short foot chase, with the machete seized from the vehicle.

A 24-year-old man from Tarneit, a 22-year-old from Hoppers Crossing and an 18-year-old Poin Cook man are helping police with their investigation.
Officers are still looking for the two other occupants who took off.
