“Following a review of evolving customer preferences, a reduction in business activity and an increase in costs, the Bank has made the difficult decision to close the Bannockburn branch located at 1/6 High Street, Bannockburn,” they said.

The Bank has directed customers to it’s closest branches, in Geelong West and Corio.

“This decision to close the branch takes into consideration the proximity of other branches in the surrounding area,” the spokesperson said.

Bendigo Bank has been contacted for further comment regarding the Malop Street closure.
