Police have provided a heartwarming update on an abused puppy, who was seized after she was attacked outside a Geelong West supermarket.
Geelong police officers were called to Aldi on Albert Street last month to reports a four-month-old Staffordshire puppy was getting stomped on and abused by a man.
Two officers quickly intervened, rescuing the puppy who suffered bruising, scratches and a fierce scolding during the attack.
A 29-year-old Rippleside man was processed by the RSPCA for causing injuries to an animal.

The scared pup was safely taken to the Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) where she was placed up for adoption.
Geelong police say the puppy, now named ‘Viviene’ or ‘Viv’ has been adopted by a police officer’s family, now forming part of a loving caring home.
Officers would like to extend their thanks to the community for the well wishes and support.
