A house fire in Winchelsea has completely destroyed a family’s home.
Emergency services were called to the Willis Street blaze just after 10am on Saturday, finding the house fully involved in fire.
A Community Information warning was in place for a few hours following the fire, letting locals know they might see or smell smoke.

The Winchelsea Fire Brigade shared on social media their thanks to the other crews across the region that helped them tackle the blaze.
They shared the harsh reality of the family’s loss, and said it’s something that weighs heavily on all first responders.
The blaze was deemed under control at 11.30am.
The cause will be investigated, though it’s not being treated as suspicious.
