An arctic blast is hitting the region and that is expected to continue today.
Locals shivered through rain and hail at times on Saturday, with Geelong reaching just 11.6 degrees.
Dean Naramore from the Bureau of Meteorology said it was due to a cold front hitting the south of the country.

“Even some of that air has come from Antarctica,” he said.
“It’s brought some widespread snow to low levels in Tasmania, Victoria and south-eastern parts of NSW.
“Behind that front, we’re seeing these really cold and windy conditions.”
A possible shower is forecast for Geelong today with a top of 15.
