Woman arrested over Leongatha deaths

A woman has been arrested in relation to the deaths of three people at Leongatha in July.

Four people were taken to hospital after eating a meal at a private residence on July 30.

Two women, aged 66 and 70, from Korumburra, died in hospital four days later while a 70-year-old Korumburra man passed away the following day.

Police arrested a 49-year-old woman at her home in Leongatha just after 8am on Thursday morning.

The house was searched with assistance from the Australian Federal Police technology detector dogs.

The woman is currently being interviewed.
