A five-year project to upgrade Queenscliff’s Sport and Recreation precinct is officially complete.
It includes a multi-sport and recreation hub to house resident clubs, along with lighting upgrades and two Netball Australia standard courts.
Female friendly and accessible change rooms and a covered deck have also been installed.
“Investment in community sports infrastructure increases participation and improves community health and wellbeing, contributing to a culture where sport is more accessible,” Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor Isabelle Tolhurst said.
Community Sport Minister Ros Spence was present for the opening, alongside local member for Bellarine Alison Marchant.
“These state-of-the-art facilities provide a home for all things sport and recreation in Queenscliff and give our clubs and community more opportunities to get active in a way that best suits them,” Ms Spence said.
