A man from Wyndham has been charged over a shooting in Melbourne that left a 76-year-old man injured.
A 26-year-old from Truganina was arrested on Thursday afternoon after officers searched a property in Ascot Vale.
He’s the third man to be charged over the incident in Middle Park on August 17, where the 76-year-old man was shot at his home on Canterbury Road.
Emergency services were called to the property after reports the man was shot when he answered a knock to his front door at about 7.50pm.
Police say they found a firearm at the Ascot Vale house on Thursday, charging the Wyndham man with intentionally cause serious injury, prohibited person possess firearm, possess drug of dependence and other related offences.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
