Set phasers to stun gang, this unemployed late night host is no longer unemployed!

Earlier this year, Stephen Colbert, from The Late Show was informed that his current season will be his last. This news was received with mixed results, with some delighted over the news of his cancellations and with many more furious with the decision.

This weekend though during a New York Comic-Con panel it was announced that the late night talk show host will be joining the cast of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Unlike many others in the sci-fi universe Colbert won’t be spending hours in a maker up chair. He’ll instead be voicing an AI that runs a school in the Star Trek universe. You can catch the announcement that was shown at NYCC below.
