Oversubscribed early childhood services in the Golden Plains Shire are being expanded.
A two-room modular building has been announced for the Bannockburn Family Services Centre.
Early Childhood Minister Ingrid Stitt said it would allow for another 90 local kinder places.
“Local families in this part of the state will have access to really high quality three and four-year-old kinder places over the next few years,” Ms Stitt said.
“The government will be contributing $2.7 million to that upgrade.”
The building is expected to be ready in time for next year’s kinder intake.
There will also be another 50 kinder places at the Haddon Pre-School Centre, south-west of Ballarat.
