Rider Jed Beaton told Geelong Broadcasters it was exciting to be headed to Geelong.

“I think we’re all pretty excited to be coming out here,” he said.

“Just hoping it doesn’t rain. It will be a challenge without a roof on the stadium.”

He said Geelong will get to see some of the best riders on the planet.

“You’ve obviously got a lot of locals,” he said.

“We’ve also got a few Americans who will be riding, and there’s some guys coming from Europe as well, so it’s a diverse group.

“But we’re obviously hoping one of the local guys comes out on top.

“We’ll be working pretty hard to get ready for the event and hopefully deliver a great result.”
