Calls for assistance over car theft

Police are investigating after a stolen car from the north of the state was seen in Highton.

The car – stolen from Ararat at the start of March – was seen at a petrol station in Highton in mid march.

“The vehicle stolen was a silver 2024 Toyota RAV4 wagon with registration MDN151,” police said in a statement.

“It is believed the vehicle has attended a service station in Highton on the 19th of March, where a person has filled up a jerry can. They have then paid for it with cash and left in the stolen vehicle.

“Investigators have released images of two males who may be able to assist with enquiries.”
