Charges over Great Ocean Road crash

A man has been charged over a crash that killed two people on the Great Ocean Road back in January.

Two people died in the head on collision near Princetown back on January 28.

“Emergency services were called to the Great Ocean Road where two vehicles collided head-on about 3.40pm,” police said in a statement.

“The driver of a RAV4, a 50-year-old Caulfield North man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“He has today been charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death.”

Two people – one from Hampton East and one from China – died at the scene.

The man will face court in Melbourne today.
