A road safety blitz in Geelong has detected 14 drink and drug drivers.
Operation Corral was held on Friday night, conducting over 1350 breath tests, picking up 10 motorists over the blood alcohol limit.
Local officers also detected four drug drivers.
In one case, police intercepted a vehicle that tried to avoid a booze bus in Corio just before 10pm Friday.
They say the 20-year-old female driver tested positive for drugs, resulting in a $627 fine and losing her licence for six months.
However, while she was waiting for an evidentiary drug test, police say her 31-year-old female passenger got into the driver’s seat to find a nearby toilet.
She was directed back into the testing site, and allegedly blew 0.133, resulting in a fine, 12-month loss of licence and summons to face court down the track.
Sixty-seven offences were detected during the operation, including ten for speeding, while nine defect notices were handed out.
Police are warning they will continue to hold major road policing operations targeting impaired and high-risk driving over coming months.
