A cold and foggy start to the day across the region.
Drivers noticed fog rolling in around Geelong’s northern suburbs in the early hours of Tuesday, while it was particularly thick across Freshwater Creek and Bellbrae.
The temperatures also dropped to -0.6 at Avalon just after 6am, but has felt like -4 degrees at times at the local airport.
Geelong fell to 1.8 degrees, but felt like -1.1.
However the fog will lift to a sunny day and a top of 15 degrees.
It will be warmer on Wednesday, with 19 degrees forecast before dropping to 15 on Thursday with a possible shower.
