A priority list of projects for Geelong has been put together ahead of November’s state election.
The City of Greater Geelong has compiled the list, saying it needs to keep pace with the growing population.
The projects include unlocking the Avalon Airport precinct, better transport connections, regional sporting infrastructure and a strong focus on the CBD.
Deputy mayor Eddy Kontelj said the city had done the ground work by building business cases and planning the projects.
“With five months to go until the state election, we’re keeping Greater Geelong front of mind at a time when candidates will be making commitments,” Cr Kontelj said.
“We are ready to partner with government to deliver real outcomes for our community – so we hope for a positive response to our invitation to visit.”
