Drivers may see volunteers rattling tins at Geelong intersections over the next few days.
Barwon Health Foundation is wrapping up its Giving Month with the Giving Weekend.
The Foundation’s Zoe Waters said the money raised would support Barwon Health.
“Giving Weekend is our biggest fundraiser and essentially funds vital medical equipment, clinical trials and research,” Ms Waters said.
“As well as all that above and beyond care items that support local patients.”
Ms Waters said locals had been generous during June, despite the cost of living pressures.
“Geelong people support Geelong people.
“No year has been easy but this year has been particularly tough and we are seeing those people locally give generously.”
