Local businessman Andy Pobjoy has won preselection for the Liberal Party ahead of November’s state election.
He will be running for the seat of Geelong, currently held by Labor’s Christine Couzens.
The Piano Bar owner said people in Geelong were struggling.

“Under cost of living pressures, they’re not feeling safe anymore,” he said.
“We’ve got a housing affordability crisis in our region and people are just looking for something better.
“I think Geelong does deserve better and under a Liberal government, we’re going to have a fresh start under Jess Wilson.”
The election is due to be held on November 28.
