A quick-thinking shopper has helped arrest a man who allegedly took off with cash from a Wyndham shop.
Police were called to a store in Pacific Werribee around 2.30pm Monday to reports a man had jumped a counter and made a grab for the cash.
A 27-year-old man was tripped over and held down by members of the public until officers arrived.

The Tarneit man has been questioned.
A worker who was knocked over in the incident was not seriously injured.
Investigations are continuing and police are asking anyone with information on the theft to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
