A man has been charged over a police chase in Ocean Grove.
Officers were called to reports of a man inside a shed in Point Lonsdale on Sunday morning.
They say the property owner approached the man, who then drove off in a Mitsubishi Triton.
No-one was injured in the incident.
It is alleged the vehicle had been stolen in the Geelong area sometime Saturday night.
The police helicopter followed the Triton as it allegedly reached speeds of up to 135km/h, before the driver dumped the vehicle near a playground.
A 22-year-old driver was arrested.
He has since been charged with various offences including burglary, car theft, fail to stop for police and dangerous driving.
The man was remanded to face Geelong Magistrates’ Court today.
