A man has been charged over an alleged smash and grab at a local convenience store.
The 62-year-old is accused of arming himself with a blunt weapon, smashing the door of the La Trobe Terrace 7-Eleven around 4pm, stealing multiple items before damaging multiple cars.
He’s been hit with several charges, including theft and committing offences on bail.

A court date for the man is yet to be fixed.
“Anyone who fell victim to this offending or who witnessed what happened is asked to call the Geelong Police Station,” police said.
