Defence Minister Richard Marles will be forced to hand over documents detailing every flight he has taken on VIP aircraft in the last year.
The Greens and Coalition have teamed up in the Senate to order the release of the documents.
It follows reports the Member for Corio has booked up to 700 hours on RAAF planes, worth up to $3.6 million.

Mr Marles has previously defended the flights, but has refused to release details on security grounds.
He has been given until Thursday next week to provide information on where he has flown, why, and the passenger manifests.
The Greens say taxpayers deserve an explanation.
