Speeding and unlicensed driving are some offences picked up by local police during a one-day operation.
Geelong officers worked with their counterparts in Colac, Ballarat and Warrnambool, targeting major highways on Thursday as part of Operation West Connect.
Their focus was speeding and distraction, also picking up unregistered vehicles.
Police warn other operations will continue over the next six-months on local roads with officers saying they’ll be on major and back roads.
