A week of consistent rain for the region is set to start today.
The regions set to cop around 3mm of rain across the morning and evening.
The BOM predicting we could cop as much as 50mm of rain across the week.
And we won’t be alone.
Heavy rainfall is being forecast for the entire of the east of the country, up to southwest Queensland in the next seven days, with up to 100mm set to fall in some areas.
Dean Narramore from the BOM say two rain bands crossing the nation could be a serious issue.
“Those systems in WA will move into the east and tap into some of the moisture across Queensland and New South Wales,” he said.
“That’s going to bring that soaking rain for all of the east.”
