Surf Coast Police say they’ve been focusing their efforts on patrolling back roads during night shift.
A 69-year-old man from Modewarre was found drink driving at around 3am Sunday morning, returning an alleged reading of .137, nearly three times the legal limit.
The man was fined $817 and lost his licence for 13 months.
Meanwhile, the following night a 33-year-old woman from Anglesea was also reportedly found drink driving, police say they pulled her over at about 11pm when she returned a reading of .057.
Officers said this was the woman’s third drink driving offense in 15 years, fining her $577 and suspending her licence for six months.
