Three people have been arrested during a police blitz in Geelong’s CBD.
Officers flooded the areas around Westfield, Market Square and Eastern Beach on Thursday afternoon and evening as part of their community safety campaign.
One of those arrested was an 18-year-old, who was allegedly found with stolen goods from a supermarket in a pram.
Police say the pram did not have a baby in it, and the woman was charged with theft and riotious behaviour.
She was released on summons.
A 26-year-old woman was fined $1,200 for trespassing and offensive behaviour after allegedly screaming at and attempting to attack plain-clothed police officers.
And a 25-year-old man was charged and bailed after he was allegedly found swearing and threatening shopping centre security and passersby.
Police say they will continue with the community safety operations in coming months, especially as the weather warms up.
