Farmers across the region are celebrating after close to 60mm of rain fell across the long weekend.
The biggest day coming on Saturday into Sunday morning, with close to 30mm falling into the Geelong Racecourse gauge.
The gauge at Airey’s Inlet has seen more than 72mm in the same period of time.

It comes with the state having recently announced special drought funding for the south west of the state.
It’s not the end of the rain for us either, with showers expected for the remainder of the weekend, with close to a mill on average expected to fall each day.
