An online forum is being held today on the proposed Lara Waste to Energy facility.
Prospect Hill International wants to build the plan on McManus Road.
The EPA granted a development licence in December last year, allowing the company to design, construct and commission the facility under strict conditions.
However the proponents still need separate regulatory approvals for the site when construction is completed.
The Committee for Geelong is hosting today’s event for its members, saying it is a chance to hear from the applicants and those against the facility.
Some Lara residents are against the plan, saying it raises more questions than answers.
