A man has been charged and will face court on Friday after allegedly trying to flee from a car crash that killed a man.
Police say the 23-year-old ran off after his SUV collided with a Honda at Truganina early Thursday morning, causing the Honda to flip and burst into flames.
The 45-year-old Melton man behind the wheel of the Honda was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.

A Hillside man has been charged with dangerous driving causing death, fail to render assistance, and fail to stop at the scene of a collision.
He has been remanded and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
