A man has been taken to hospital following an early morning assault in Corio.
Police were called to Merlin Crescent around 2.45 this morning to reports a 49-year-old had been injured, suffering cuts to his upper body.
They have been told five people were in the home at the time when the assault happened.

Another man in the property took off on a bicycle.
He is yet to be found, but police believe the men know each other.
