More schools involved in Resilience Project

More locals schools are getting involved with the Resilience Project to build resilience and emotional wellbeing.

Thousands of students have already gone through the program, that has the support of the Cats and GMHBA Health Insurance.

Seven additional schools are now involved.

Chris Lytas from Geelong men’s health group Right Mate said it helped kids and parents in a big way.

“What we’re seeing is a resurgence in community and care for community and care for each other as opposed to isolating ourselves,” he said.

“If we can give them the tools to build that in a healthy way in a safe environment, we think it sets them up for success as they go through the various stage of life.

“There’s also stuff that as adults, we can continue to learn and that can only be a good thing.”
