Detectives investigating the deaths of two people in Werribee believe the two knew each other.
Officers were conducting a welfare check on a home on Melton Close on Friday afternoon, when they found the bodies of a 31-year-old man and 29-year-old woman.
A postmortem will be held to determine how the pair died.

Detectives say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths.
They are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
