The first neighbourhood batteries are being rolled out across regional tourism towns including Queenscliff.
There will be four in the Bellarine town, each providing around 4.2 megawatt hours of storage.
The Victorian government promised 100 community batteries before the 2022 election.

The first 25 should be completed by June next year, aimed at securing supply for areas that may suffer power outages during peak times.
There is no word yet on where the other batteries will be placed, or when they will be built.
