A second man has been charged after an alleged aggravated burglary and ramming of a police vehicle in Williamstown, which also saw the arrest of a Corio man.

The 23-year-old local was arrested over the incident which saw two armed men gain access to an industrial property just after 5.45am April 5.

Police say a gun was fired before two vehicles were stolen from the address, one of them allegedly ramming a police vehicle shortly after.

The police helicopter tracked the car to Highton, where the Corio man was arrested after trying to run from the car on foot.

Since then police have tracked down a 20-year-old from Altona, arresting him at Werribee train station this week and charging him with dozens of offences.
