Four teens – including one from Geelong and three from Wyndham – have been arrest after a police chased a stolen car.
The incident finished when the car became bogged while trying to escape a fast food drive thru.
“Officers on patrol spotted an outstanding stolen blue BMW, allegedly doubling the speed limit in a 50 zone, around Armstong Road in Mambourin about 10.50pm,” police said in a statement.
“Officers held back to observe a passenger being dropped off at Wyndham Railway Station.”
The car was then followed through Wyndham and Werribee.
“The vehicle eventually pulled into fast-food drive-thru near the intersection of Werribee Main Road and the Princess Highway.
“The driver allegedly made their order before police units moved in
“The BMW reversed out of the drive-thru and then drove into an adjacent bush area.
“The car came to a halt, bogged in mud.”
Three of the teens have been released pending summons, while a fourth was cautioned.
It’s alleged the car was stolen from Keilor East yesterday morning.
