East Geelong forward Zac Smith has bagged an impressive nine-goal haul as his Eagles smashed Werribee Centrals by 90 points at Auswide Oval in the GDFL on Saturday.

Smith was backed up in the goal scoring by Caleb Lowndes with five, and six other players sharing the remainder, to see a final score of 22.11 (143) to 8.5 (53).

It leaves the team in fourth place on the GDFL ladder, separated from Inverleigh in third place only on percentage, with only one round left to play.
Ladder leader Thomson gave Anakie a 147-point drubbing at Anakie, while second-placed Bell Post Hill thrashed Belmont by 66 points at Myers Reserve.

Next week’s final round of the home and away season will see the Tigers and Panthers battle for the minor premiership, with Bell Post Hill a slim chance of taking the top spot on percentage if they win.
Other big wins saw Inverleigh give North Geelong a footy lesson of 88 points (119 – 31), Winchelsea beat GW Giants by 54 points (81 – 27) and Bannockburn demoralise Corio by 62 points (135 – 73).
